Week 7 Recap and Week 8 Bulletin
8/1/25
Campers sure made a splash for Week 7! 💦
🖌️ For water-inspired fun, campers painted breezy beach scenes on canvas, decorated “Splash of Color” pinwheels that reveal rainbows as they spin, made slime with floating fish inside, created jellyfish mosaics, and used watercolor to paint beautiful butterflies.
🧘🏽♀️ For Mind and Body, campers practiced teamwork and social skills with a water balloon version of hot potato and a fast-paced relay using water blasters to fill buckets as fast as they could.
👟 For physical activity, campers played Granny Pants Pong, using oversized “granny pants” to catch balls tossed from across the lawn! They also took aim in a Bullseye Challenge with rubber duck targets and water shooters, plus had a blast with rounds of gaga ball indoors.
🏖️🛟 For dress-up day, campers showed up in their beachiest outfits or sported their best lifeguard wear!
🌡️ This week’s weather gave us a little bit of everything, s campers stayed flexible with a mix of indoor and outdoor time to beat the heat or stay warm and dry, no matter the temperature!
🚴♀️ Bold Adventures campers soaked up the fun with some splash-tastic trips this week. On Tuesday, they headed to Putter’s Paradise and Berlin Batting Cages, for a go with the water-shooting bumper boats! (A last-minute location change due to weather.) Wednesday brought excitement at Quassy Water Park, and on Thursday, they wrapped up at Brownstone Adventure Park in Portland.
📢 Leaders-in-Training campers enjoyed Quassy Water Park this week!

Come explore the vastness of the solar system as we discover the mysteries of the universe, engaging in activities about the moon, the planets, space travel, and black holes. REMINDERS:
- LOST AND FOUND
- Please LABEL all of your child’s belongings, so we may reduce the number of items that end up in the Lost & Found. Please check the Lost & Found throughout the week for any items your child may be missing. Unclaimed items will be donated or disposed of at the end of each camp week.
- LATE PICK-UP FEE
- In order to account for staffing and maintain smooth operations, families will incur a late pick-up fee of $25 if your camper is picked up more than 10 minutes after their scheduled pick-up time. We understand that delays can happen, and we appreciate your effort in picking up your child on time. If you anticipate being late, please notify us as soon as possible.
- SWIM LESSONS
- Please be advised, that during free swim time, beginner swimmers do have the opportunity to use life vests. However, during swim lessons, our swim instructor does not allow use of them for the following reasons:
- They prevent proper learning of swim skills and managing body position.
- They create a false sense of security. It’s important during lesson time that they create trust with the instructor in the water.
- They interfere with learning water confidence!
- All swim lessons are taught with an Water Safety Instructor (WSI) in the water with the camper at all times, and a lifeguard supervising from outside the pool.
- If your camper expresses that they are not comfortable getting into the water, our WSI always allows them to opt out when it is time for their lesson.
- Please be advised, that during free swim time, beginner swimmers do have the opportunity to use life vests. However, during swim lessons, our swim instructor does not allow use of them for the following reasons:
