Week 7 Recap and Week 8 Bulletin
Week 7 included lots of fun in the sun for campers while embracing and expressing what makes them special!
🖌️Campers emphasized their personal shine creating tie dye tote bags, a “walk in my shoes” sneaker displaying details about themselves, a fizzy baking soda painting, and an “All About Me” poster.
🎉Campers worked hard all week with their units to practice for the Friday “Girls Inc.’s Got Talent” show where all our units and campers who decided to perform on their own, showed off their talents for the whole SSB Camp to enjoy. From dancing to singing to puppet shows, campers expressed themselves and showed up Strong, Smart, and Bold!
🧬STEM this week included rocket science! Using knowledge on how rockets use chemical reactions, campers creating a high flying bottle rocket.
🚴♀️Bold Adventures campers explored Connecticut history at the Mark Twain House on Monday, marveled at nature at the Marsh Botanical Gardens on Tuesday, engaged their creative side with a visit to Kiln It Pottery Studio on Wednesday, and experienced technology and adventure in action at the Vault Virtual Reality Center on Thursday. On Friday, they enjoyed our “Girls Inc.’s Got Talent” show among all their fellow campers.
