EVERYTHING DANCE
This class offers a comprehensive dance experience that includes jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop styles, designed to encourage physical activity and promote a body-positive mindset. Through this program, participants not only learn various dance techniques but also develop confidence, coordination, and a strong sense of self-expression. This creative outlet supports their physical health fostering a positive relationship with their body.
FRIENDLY PEERSUASION
Developing the participants’ skills to resist pressure to use harmful substances, such as drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and household chemicals, Friendly PEERsuasion targets the years during which girls begin to more fully experience and respond to influence and pressure from their peers to participate in risky behaviors.
MIND + BODY
This class inspires participants to be healthy and strong in both mind and body, focusing on four major areas: physical activity, nutrition, body image, and stress management. Participants will engage in fun interactive experiences that include arts and crafts (reinforces healthy habits and self-expression), physical activity (exercises and games that promote fitness and well being, Healthy Eating providing an opportunity to create and learn about nutritious food choices, and Stress Management encouraging techniques and practices to reduce stress.
